I am very excited to announce that 'MOXIE .:':. JAPAN' has launched!
Compiling this project over the last year and half has been an amazing experience in itself and tonight it is now live to the world.
'MOXIE .:':. JAPAN' is a crowd funding project which enables me to sell my art internationally while raising funds to travel to Japan and Canada in 2015. It runs for 60 days and will wrap up on the 18th of December.
My campaign promotes funding your dreams by being entrepreneurial and thinking outside the box. I am inspiring and encouraging people to truly do what you love and live life without regrets.
I believe my campaign has merit to be funded because I have fantastic art to trade. I am sharing my experiences and because hard work pays off :)
PLUS everyone needs beautiful things in their lives and art makes the world a richer more colourful and diverse place to be a part of!
Recently, while at the summit of Mt Ruapehu, I decided in order to travel with true wanderlust I needed to commit EVERYTHING. I have resigned from my role as Manager at Workshop, packed up my studio, cleared out my house and begun minimising my worldly possessions.
I have always been driven in the pursuit of acquiring new points of view and achievements. My academic abilities allowed me to begin attending university at 16, I began freelance designing at 19 and have learnt many skills and activities along the way. I have been very fortunate to have opportunities to experience & have made it a life pursuit to NOT have a list to work through of things I wish I had done!
Six years ago I hit a horrific event, which although at the time was traumatising, became the instigator of refocusing myself on the goals and steps I needed to undertake to achieve my bigger dreams. It has not been a short or easy road to get where I now stand- but boy!- I am proud of getting here, and what a ride it has been so far!
This project is centred around growth for all involved; experience, inspiration, adventure and making new connections that begin exciting opportunities. I am embarking on another passage of an incredibly rich and dynamic life that I'm set on sharing through art and participation.
